What we collect

Booking and inquiry details you send us: name, email, phone, travel dates, number of travellers, accommodation or pickup location, preferences and any comments.

Payment data is handled directly by our payment provider (Stripe); we receive only the payment status.

Why we use it

To process your booking or private-tour request, send confirmations and proposals, organise transport and logistics, and reply to your messages.

With your consent only, to measure website traffic and advertising (Google Analytics, Meta Pixel).

Cookies

We use analytics and advertising cookies only if you accept them in the cookie banner. You can change your choice at any time from “Cookie settings” in the footer.

Who processes your data

Our booking system (TourFlow, on our WordPress server, which also sends our emails), Cloudflare (website hosting and security), Stripe (payments) and, only with your consent, Google and Meta for analytics and advertising. Fonts are served from our own website, not from Google. We do not sell your data.

Legal basis and retention

Bookings and private requests: performance of a contract or pre-contractual steps you ask for (GDPR art. 6.1.b). Accounting records are kept for the period required by Italian law (10 years); requests that do not become a booking are deleted after 24 months.

Analytics and advertising cookies: your consent (art. 6.1.a), which you can withdraw at any time from “Cookie settings”.

International transfers

Some providers (Stripe, Google, Meta, Cloudflare) may process data outside the EU. They rely on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.

Artificial intelligence

We do not use your personal data to train AI models, and no decision about your booking is taken automatically: our team reviews every request (GDPR art. 22). See our AI transparency page for how we use AI on this website.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can request access, correction, deletion or portability of your data, restrict or object to its use, by writing to info@visitsicilyexperiences.com. You can also lodge a complaint with the Italian data protection authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali, garanteprivacy.it).
